Effective Oct. 1, 2021, Integrity Fiber Supply (IFS) is pleased to announce the purchase of assets and brokerage business from Michigan Recycling, located in Kalamazoo, Michigan.
“This is a great chance to combine our two plants’ capabilities to make us a full-service provider in the area,” said Rick Torbeck, president of IFS. “We will continue to run both plants and will keep the Michigan Recycling name.”
This will be the second recycling plant that IFS owns in the city of Kalamazoo and the company’s third acquisition in the last four years. The bulk grade plant will be a perfect addition to the high-grade plant that was a part of the River Valley Paper acquisition.
Integrity Fiber was founded in 2014 as the recycling arm of Schwarz Partners. Michigan Recycling was founded in 1999 by Bill Alm after a successful career with Browning Ferris Industries. Bill will stay through the transition and then start a well-deserved retirement with Kim his wife of 38 years.
We want to thank Bill for this easy process and promise to extend the great relationships and reputation that he worked so hard to build.
